Carla is a tenured President and CEO with expertise building infrastructure and growth in the healthcare technology market by spearheading pioneering oncology software. As Founder /CEO, her motivation to create ground-breaking products and innovative market strategy is rooted in the belief every patient deserves the best care available. Carla developed her passion for patients and technology as Director of Product Development and Sr. Financial Operations Manager of SOS/ACORN, an oncology research company and community research network formed from West Cancer Center in Memphis, TN. Prior to Spesana, Carla served as President of Nantcare, a California-based oncology clinical trials and technology company. As President and CEO of Altos Solutions, the first web-based oncology electronic medical record and big data company, Carla led its sale to Flatiron Health, a Google-Ventures backed organization that was acquired by Roche.
A graduate of University of Memphis with a cum laude Master of Science in Psychology, Carla holds patents for machine vision and molecular diagnostic interpretation and serves as a Healthcare Board Member of the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis, MO.
Glenn began working in the healthcare software industry in 1998 with a small company that had a client-server Electronic Medical Record (EMR) program. That company, along with Glenn, was acquired by Eclipsys Corporation. But, before Eclipsys was merged with Allscripts, Glenn left to join Altos Solutions as employee number 4 and worked to create the first web based EMR in the industry. Altos Solutions was purchased by Flatiron Health, which was ultimately sold to Roche. Prior to joining Spesana, Glenn worked for companies specializing in MDx ordering and clinical trial matching software. Glenn started his career at Hughes Missile Systems Company in Tucson, Arizona before switching over to healthcare.
Glenn has a BS in Software Engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
Carol started her healthcare career as a nurse, with 10 years of clinical nursing with focus in surgery. After earning her MBA, Carol entered into sales with Scott Paper Company and marketing and with Smith and Nephew healthcare manufacturing companies . From there Carol turned to operations, and as COO she developed and managed Outpatient Surgery Centers, then managed a Cardiology practice. Prior to joining Spesana, she served as Chief Administrative Officer for West Cancer Center, a multispecialty comprehensive cancer center, where her responsibilities included Revenue Cycle, Marketing and Data Science. She led conversions of new practice management systems and EMR, as well as hospital partnerships.
Carol has a BA from Auburn University, BSN from University of Mississippi and MBA from University of Memphis.
